About Dr. Ehteshami
Dr. Ehteshami’s research examines how mental health conditions are organized and classified, with the broader goal of improving diagnosis and treatment. That work shapes how he listens, asks questions, and understands the concerns people bring to therapy.
His approach is active and collaborative. Sessions focus on what is happening now, how it may have developed, and what could help a person respond with more flexibility. He draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as flexible frameworks, and adjusts the pace and focus to each person. The work may include practical skills, making room for difficult emotions, and examining recurring relationship patterns. His aim is not only to reduce distress, but also to help people understand the relationships, beliefs, emotions, and patterns that shape how they move through life.
With parents of children with ADHD and behavioral difficulties, Dr. Ehteshami uses behavioral parent training to help families strengthen positive behavior, set clear and consistent expectations, improve communication, and reduce conflict at home.
Dr. Ehteshami is a pre-licensed professional in clinical psychology and provides services under the supervision of Craig Kerley, Psy.D. (Georgia license PSY002840).
